An AI receptionist for pest control companies

AERIOX sets up an AI receptionist for pest control companies that answers every call, day and night, in English or Spanish. It asks what the caller is seeing and where, gets the name and address, and books the inspection, treatment or re-service into your Google Calendar inside the hours and service area you set. You get an email after every call, and you keep your number. Plans start at $99 a month.

Why pest control calls go to voicemail

Your techs spend the day in crawlspaces and attics with a sprayer in hand. Customers call the moment they see the problem, and that's often at night: roaches in the kitchen at 10 PM, scratching in the attic, a wasp nest by the front door on a Sunday.

Calls also come in surges. Termite swarms in spring, ants and mosquitoes after the summer rains, rodents moving indoors when the nights cool off. In a CallRail survey of 1,000 US consumers (2025), 82% said they'd try a competitor after an unanswered call, and only 42% leave a voicemail. A CallRail benchmark cited by Plumber magazine puts the share of calls home-service businesses miss at about 14%.

What it does on a pest control call

  1. Answers in your company's name and opens with "This call may be recorded."
  2. Asks what the caller is seeing and where: ants on the counter, droppings in the garage, winged insects on a sill, a nest by the door. Home or business, and how long it's been going on.
  3. Books the right visit into your Google Calendar: an inspection, an initial treatment, a quarterly service, a re-service when bugs come back between visits, or a termite inspection for a home sale. Only the appointment types, lengths, hours and service area you set, and only after checking the time is still open.
  4. Moves or cancels visits when an existing customer calls to reschedule.
  5. Takes a message when the job is outside what it books, such as a tenting quote or a commercial account, or when the caller asks for you. It marks it urgent when the caller says it can't wait.
  6. Emails you the booking or message in full. Every call is also listed in your portal.

What you give it

  • The pests you treat, and the ones you don't, so it can say so plainly.
  • The prices you want quoted, such as your inspection fee or first-service price for a typical home. It never guesses at a termite or bed bug treatment price; anything else becomes a note for you.
  • Your visit types and lengths, your hours, and the towns or ZIP codes you cover.
  • Your standard answers to prep and safety questions, such as what to do before a treatment or when pets can go back outside. It gives callers your answer, not one of its own.

Setup starts with a 15-minute call. AERIOX builds the agent with you in 2 to 5 business days, tests it, and tells you the day it's live. Changing a price or your hours later is an email.

A sample evening call

AIThanks for calling Bayberry Pest Co. This call may be recorded. How can I help?

CallerThere are little winged bugs all over my windowsill. My neighbor thinks it's termites.

AII can't identify them over the phone, but a technician can. I have a termite inspection open Thursday at 9 AM or 1 PM. Which works better?

CallerOne o'clock. And what would treatment cost?

AIThe technician prices treatment after the inspection, so I'll note that you asked. Can I get your name, address and best number?

CallerDana Ruiz, 88 Heron Lane, (561) 555-0137.

AIYou're booked, Dana: Thursday at 1 PM at 88 Heron Lane. Anything else?

Bayberry Pest Co. is a fictional business. The owner gets an email with the booking and the pricing question, and the visit is on their Google Calendar.

Where it stops

  • It doesn't identify pests, recommend products or give treatment advice. It gathers what the technician needs to know.
  • It doesn't connect callers to you live; it takes a message for a call back. It doesn't text anyone.
  • It takes up to 2 calls at once, up to 10 minutes each. A third caller hears a short message asking them to call back.
  • It tells callers it's an AI whenever they ask, and never pretends to be you.

What it costs for a pest control company

Voice plans are priced by how busy your phone is, not per seat. Every plan answers 24/7, books and emails you every call, and includes setup. The first month is paid upfront; after that it's month to month.

PlanPer monthMinutesCalendars
Starter$993001
Solo$1997501
Crew (most popular)$2991,200Up to 3
Company$4992,500Up to 10

A company with a few technicians on routes usually fits Crew: up to 3 calendars, so it can book by technician or by truck, plus a quarterly tune-up by our team. See all plans or what an AI receptionist costs.

Questions owners ask

Can an AI receptionist book pest control appointments?
Yes. The AERIOX voice agent checks your Google Calendar and books inspections, initial treatments, quarterly services and re-services inside the hours, visit types and service area you set. It never confirms a time it hasn't re-checked and saved.
Can it tell a caller whether they have termites?
No. It doesn't identify pests or give treatment advice. It asks what the caller is seeing and where, then books an inspection or takes a message for you.
Will it answer questions about whether a treatment is safe for pets and kids?
Only with the answer you give it during setup. If you haven't given it one, it takes the question down as a note for you, so you or a technician can answer it.
Can my quarterly customers reschedule with it?
Yes, when their visits are on your Google Calendar. It moves or cancels the visit, offering only open times inside your hours, and emails you the change.
Does it work with my pest control scheduling software?
It books into Google Calendar. If you book through another platform, it can email callers your booking link instead. Ask us about anything else before you order.
