An AI receptionist for barbershops and salons
AERIOX sets up an AI receptionist for barbershops and salons that answers every call, day and night, in English or Spanish, so nobody has to put down the clippers. With Google Calendar, it books cuts with the barber or stylist they ask for, at the times you're open. If you book through Square or Booksy, it emails callers your booking link. You get an email after every call. Plans start at $99 a month.

Why shop calls go unanswered
The phone rings in the middle of a fade, or with foils half in, and you can't stop to pick up. The front desk, if there is one, is checking someone out. After close, people still call to book tomorrow, and on a busy Saturday the same phone rings all morning.
Callers who can't get through don't wait long. In a CallRail survey of 1,000 US consumers (2025), 82% said they'd try a competitor after an unanswered call, and only 42% leave a voicemail. In the weeks before the holidays, prom or the first day of school, that's a chair sitting empty.
What it does on a shop call
- Answers in your shop's name and opens with "This call may be recorded."
- Answers the usual questions from what you tell it: walk-ins, hours, parking, which services you offer, how long a color takes.
- Asks what they want and with whom: a cut, a cut and beard, a kids' cut, a blowout, a root touch-up, and the barber or stylist they ask for.
- Books it, or sends your booking link, depending on how your shop books (below).
- Takes a message when the caller wants you or asks for something you'd rather handle yourself, such as a wedding party, and emails it to you.
It quotes only the prices you give it, such as a men's cut or a color starting price, and never guesses; anything else becomes a note for you.
If you book in Google Calendar
It books cuts with the barber they ask for, at the times you're open. Give each barber or stylist their own calendar, and it checks that person's calendar before offering a time, books only the services and lengths you set, and never confirms a time it hasn't re-checked and saved. It also moves and cancels appointments when a client calls to change one.
If you book through Square, Booksy or another app
AERIOX doesn't write into those platforms. The agent answers the caller's questions, gets their email address, and emails them your booking link so they can pick a time and a barber themselves.
A sample Saturday booking
AIThanks for calling Corner Chair Barbershop. This call may be recorded. How can I help?
CallerCan I get in with Andre on Saturday?
AIAndre has Saturday at 10:30 AM or 1:15 PM. Is it a haircut, or a cut and beard?
CallerCut and beard, at 10:30.
AIThat's a 45-minute appointment. Can I get your name and number?
CallerLuis, (561) 555-0129.
AIYou're booked with Andre, Luis: Saturday at 10:30 AM for a cut and beard. Anything else?
Corner Chair Barbershop is a fictional business with one Google Calendar per barber. The owner gets an email with the booking, and it's on Andre's calendar.
Where it stops
- It doesn't book into Square, Booksy or other booking apps. It emails callers your link instead.
- It doesn't connect callers to you live; it takes a message for a call back. It doesn't text anyone.
- It takes up to 2 calls at once, up to 10 minutes each. A third caller hears a short message asking them to call back.
- It tells callers it's an AI whenever they ask, and never pretends to be you.
What it costs for a shop
Voice plans are priced by how busy your phone is, not per chair. Every plan answers 24/7, books and emails you every call, and includes setup. The first month is paid upfront; after that it's month to month.
| Plan | Per month | Minutes | Calendars |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $99 | 300 | 1 |
| Solo | $199 | 750 | 1 |
| Crew (most popular) | $299 | 1,200 | Up to 3 |
| Company | $499 | 2,500 | Up to 10 |
A one-chair shop fits Starter: if your calls run about 3 minutes, 300 minutes covers about 100 calls a month. With more chairs, Crew books up to 3 calendars and Company up to 10, one per barber or stylist. See all plans or what an AI receptionist costs.
